EXPO MILANO 2015 -Future Restaurant-

“Future Restaurant” was an installation at Expo Milano 2015 that ran for 6 months from May 1 to October 31, 2015. Rhizomatiks provided creative direction with Kota Iguchi of Cekai as the lead art director. Guests seated at the table enjoyed the flavorful dishes along with seasonal images of Japan projected on the big screen. Each media table featured a touch screen where guests interacted using”hashi” (chopsticks) as a touch pen while experiencing Japanese delicacies. In addition to the images, guests were treated to a musical-type show featuring songs and dances. The installation was awarded the Expo’s Gold Medal in the Exhibition Design Category, which was the first to be awarded to a Japanese pavilion in its history of participating in International Registered Exhibitions .

「Future Resturant」は、2015年5月1日から10月31日までの6ヶ月間、Expo Milano 2015で実施。Rhizomatiksが総合ディレクションを行い、CEKAI井口皓太がアートディレクションを担当。ダイニングスタイルのテーブルに座った訪問者は、食事とともにスクリーンに投影された日本の季節のイメージを楽しむことができる。各メディアテーブルは「箸」タッチペンで制御されたタッチスクリーンを特長とし、参加者はアクティブに日本料理を体験。ビデオのイメージに加えて、訪問者は歌と踊りを組み入れたミュージカル風のショーを楽しむこともでき、本作は展示デザイン部門で博覧会の金メダルを受賞。国際登録展（5年ごとに開催される大規模な展示会）に参加した歴史の中で、日本館に初めての金メダルを授与された。
